Starting Tuesday, much of the United Kingdom is expected to experience cooler conditions as more variable weather patterns take hold. Northern and western regions are likely to encounter some periods of rain, contributing to a generally unsettled atmosphere throughout much of the week.
Tuesday will begin with relatively warm and humid conditions across central and south-eastern England. However, cooler air will advance from the north and west, moving southeastward behind a cold front. This front will usher in a temporary spell of rain across England and Wales.
Across Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the north-western parts of England and Wales, fresher north-westerly winds will develop, bringing with them showers—some of which could be heavy. Overall, temperatures across the UK will drop by around five degrees compared to Monday, ranging between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius, which aligns more closely with seasonal averages.
Looking ahead, the unsettled weather with intermittent rain is expected to continue for the remainder of the week. There are signs that conditions may improve next week, with temperatures potentially climbing above the usual average.
