Northamptonshire boy, 15, accused of sex attacks on eight girls

A 15-year-old male has appeared in court facing multiple charges of sexual offenses involving eight girls, one of whom was just 10 years old at the time. The incidents in question reportedly occurred between 2023 and 2025, with the victims’ ages ranging from 10 to 15 years, as stated at Wellingborough Youth Court.

The teenager, whose identity is protected due to his age, is accused of a total of 22 offenses. These include serious allegations such as rape, sexual assault, and possession of indecent images. However, during the brief 20-minute hearing, he was not required to enter any pleas. The case has now been referred to Northampton Crown Court, where the next hearing is scheduled for August 18.

The charges against the boy are extensive and comprise twelve counts of sexually assaulting a female, three offenses involving the assault of a girl under 13 by touching, two counts of rape, two counts related to making indecent photographs, an assault by penetration, and possession of both prohibited images and extreme pornographic material. The precise locations of the alleged offenses have not been disclosed to protect the anonymity of the alleged victims.

At the hearing, District Judge Amar Mehta emphasized the gravity of the case by stating, “Your case is too serious to be tried in this court.” The defendant, who was accompanied by his mother, was released on bail with conditions that forbid him from contacting the alleged victims or having unsupervised contact with females under the age of 16.
