Three individuals have been formally charged in connection with a failed arson attempt targeting the offices of a Persian-language media outlet located in north-west London. The incident occurred around 20:30 BST on Wednesday when an ignited container was thrown toward the Volant Media building in Park Royal. Fortunately, the device landed in a car park and the resulting fire extinguished quickly without spreading.

The Metropolitan Police have identified the suspects as Oisin McGuinness, aged 21, Nathan Dunn, aged 19, both residents of Watford, and a 16-year-old boy from north London. All three, who hold British nationality, face charges of arson with intent to endanger life. Additionally, McGuinness has been charged with dangerous driving.

Following the suspected attack, no injuries or property damage were reported. Authorities evacuated two adjacent buildings as a safety measure; these were later reopened once police confirmed that there was no ongoing danger to the surrounding community. The swift response helped to contain any potential risks related to the incident.

Police also pursued a black SUV believed to be involved in connection with the event. This chase ended when the vehicle crashed on Ballards Lane in Finchley. The suspects are scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court to face the charges brought against them
